Founded on September 8, 2014, by two passionate actors and mime artists, Adrien Fournier and Alexandre Finck, Compagnie Discrète is dedicated to the art of mime and physical theatre. Our mission is to cultivate and showcase the essence of mime in its widest scope.We aim to captivate a diverse audience by shedding light on the absurdities of our world without resorting to blame, but rather by uncovering the contemporary poetry woven into our daily lives. Embracing our roles as integral members of modern society, we strive to narrate stories that invigorate, provoke thought, challenge perspectives, and above all, evoke laughter. Laughter, as Chaplin famously remarked, is not only our greatest strength but also embodies hope and fosters well-being. It's essential to find humor in ourselves.

Through our unique blend of mime, improvisation, poetry, and comedy, we offer audiences a canvas for boundless imagination and interpretation. By seamlessly integrating mime with multimedia elements and live music, we create immersive performances that defy conventions and transcend traditional theatrical boundaries.

IJSBERG - 2024
The Earth is tired. It has decided to take a little rest. From its sleep will come a winter like no other.

IJSBERG's story brings us into a world of its own, funny and fluffy, in a forest where a shaggy old man lives peacefully. Until the day an iceberg runs aground near his cabin. From that moment on, past and future meet, the snow makes music, the trees talk, and the rabbits always fear the hungry wolves. With its moving bodies, musical poetry and video inspired by Nordic landscapes, IJSBERG is an ode to nature in all its beauty and complexity. 
IJSBERG questions our relationship with living things, and invites us to imagine a new horizon where Nature is a character in its own right.

Free Mout-Mout - 2020
A sheep has escaped from a book and is wreaking havoc as it travels from book to book in a library. A young reader and a librarian team up to find him before things get out of hand. And so begins an adventure in which the different worlds of books become intertwined.

Horizon - 2019
Two astronauts on a routine mission in space destroy (unintentionally) planet Earth. They find themselves alone with the unknown as their only horizon. An adventure juggling the codes of space opera and closed-door living, where humor and the absurd mingle with poetic science fiction. A starting point for a stellar and psychological spiral. A desire to explore the nebula of space and the nebula of our minds. Sensibly close to each other. Two universes at once immense and small, governed by the laws of infinity, where the imagination can take up a position flirting with the divine.

Play War - 2017
It's wartime! Two soldiers with heroic intentions are catapulted into the Vietnamese jungle. Not always deft or inspired, this hilarious Laurel-and-Hardy Rambo-style explosive duo takes us along for the ride! Completely overwhelmed by events, they progress as best they can, making one blunder after another in a hazardous expedition where the unexpected and the unexpected lurk behind every bush.

Using mime and a cartoon-like sound and graphic universe, Compagnie Discrète presents an unusual and totally singular family show, somewhere between Charlie Chaplin and Tex Avery. Without losing their offbeat sense of humor, they also touch us in sensitive scenes that remind us that they are, after all, just two kids confronted with the horrors of war...
